Location – Cincinnati, Ohio
A national landmark building in downtown Cincinnati which had been remodeled to serve as the Taft Museum expanded. The project involved building an addition in the courtyard and earth retention was required due to the limited space available. Over 6,400 square feet of tied back drilled-in soldier pile and wood lagging with a permanent cast—in-place concrete facing will serve as a site wall along an access drive to the new garage. In addition, 117 16” diameter augercast piles approximately 100’ long were installed as the new structure’s foundation.
