In order to construct the Education Resource Center Addition, several types of earth retention and foundation support were required. They included temporary tied back drilled-in soldier pile and wood lagging, permanent tied back tangent augercast pile wall and polyurethane soil grouting. The permanent tangent augercast pile wall also acted as new foundation for several columns in the new addition. The total supported face was approximately 4,000 square feet of the granular soils.
