Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
This structure was undergoing excessive settlement from desiccation of the underlying soils. Richard Goettle, Inc. was contracted to install new underpinning piers, 87 in total, to extend the building loads to bear on bedrock. These conventionally installed concrete underpinning piers were installed at regular intervals along the building's exterior walls.
